2011 Top 100 MLB.com Blogs

Latest Leaders logoCongratulations to everyone who made the annual Top 100 MLB.com Blogs list in 2011, measured in page views for the full year. It was a year in which the Phillies topped the regular season in wins, and also a year in which MLB.com Phillies beat reporter Todd Zolecki topped all bloggers as the overall king of MLBlogs. The MLB.com Hot Stove Blog led the way in the PRO 100 division, ahead of Jamie Ramsey’s Better Off Red, Alyson Footer of the Astros, and Keith Olbermann. Baseball snagger and author Zack Hample edged Rays Renegade to top the FAN 100 list. See if you can make our 2012 list!

The game doesn’t have “free play”, where after beating the game there is a short cut scene and you automatically get sent back to the title screen. In short,
the fact the ban rate is higher than the warning rate shows that players are not deterred or rehabilitated by Tribunal punishments at all.

The question then becomes, why are these players being pardoned if the Tribunal is already too harsh to begin with.

Great post – some fantastic reading. Hope we can emulate with our baseball road trip blog!

Thanks for the URL – but we can’t include you in the monthly MLB.com Latest Leaders if you don’t use one of the provided MLB themes. Hope you have a great season!

I will be a top that list in 2012. Starting now.

Hey everybody! It’s the Bleacher Boy. Come check out my blog. Please comment with some advice and subscribe.

Farewell citizens of the blogosphere,
Bleacher Boy- http://bleacherboy.mlblogs.com/

Congratulations to all, it’s well deserved! Awesome to see so many new faces, and all the usual suspects, too.

Here’s to a fab 2011, and a better 2012!

Go Phillies!

Congrats again! Keep up the great blogging and way to grab that badge at http://phanaticaddict.mlblogs.com

Thanks everyone! Never imagined in the first year Cream City Cables would crack the Top 100 Fan Blogs. We’re taking on some new writers this year and look forward to moving up the chart next year!

Great blog – thanks for being part of MLB.com for blogging!

Congratulations to everyone! All well deserved! And thank you to those who have stopped by in the past year, and read enough to land me at #45. My gratitude is beyond words.
Bryan – http://bryansargent.mlblogs.com

Congrats, everybody! Great company as always! How many days til spring training?!?!? WE CAN HARDLY WAIT!
–Jeff & Al

Wow. I really cannot believe it has been over a year since I started my blog. It has been an awesome experience for me, and I now can’t imagine what my life would be like had I not started writing. I would like to thank everyone in the MLBlog community for making this online building come alive. As a thank you, I have commented on what I believe to be every fan blog on the top 100 list. I look to the coming year with a great optimism for myself and all you out there. Oh, and if for whatever reason I missed you, just comment here, and I’ll be sure to comment on your blog.
-Mateo Fischer

Woo hoo hoo! Semi-surprised to see I’m in the top 100, considering I’ve been missing in action the past couple months. Now that the holidays are over, and things are kinda dull, I hope to be posting more. Congrats to everyone else on the list as well!

Congrats, Sue! So I just have to ask after reading your post at http://rrrt.mlblogs.com/2011/10/26/meh what you thought of the 7-game World Series… also be sure to grab your Top 100 MLB.com Blogs badge from the newest post on this blog.

Thanks Mark! I did manage to get the badge on my page properly, though at first I accidentally made it too tall – oops! As for the WS, it’s always good to have it go 7 games (more suspense and drama), but I still have issues with a wild-card team winning it all. So you can imagine I’m none too thrilled at the possibility of even more WC teams being thrown into the mix.

Thank you all so much for the top 100. Congrats and thanks to all who gave me many fun and interesting things to read though out 2011.
‘Minoring In Baseball’

Congrats to everyone. I turned my position into a posting about the number 31. Check it out if you’re so inclined. http://wp.me/p1CLUt-QO

Looking forward to Spring training in a few weeks, as I’m sure all of you are too.

Very entertaining — always fun when bloggers turn Latest Leaders into a post about jersey numbers! Congrats and make sure you snag the Top 100 MLB.com Blogs badge from the newest post on this community blog.

Thanks for all your work, Mark. It’s exciting to check the leaderboard each month and see where my blog sits. Looking forward to a busy 2012!
– Malcolm

Awesome. Thank you, Mark, for everything you’ve done for me and for this community.

Congrats to everyone on the list and thanks to all that stopped by to get me on the list for the first time.

Looking forward to a great 2012

Congratulations to all on the list! I know how hard it is to keep thinking of topics to write about and finding the time.
Thank you that have visited my blog! I came in at #21! When I think of #21 I think of Roberto Clemente.

Special thanks to all those who have been tweeting and posting on Facebook today about the Top 100 list! Examples include http://twitter.com/MLB and http://twitter.com/MLBFanCave plus http://facebook.com/MLB and http://facebook.com/MLBFanCave … and http://twitter.com/KeithOlbermann and other winners who have spread the word! Please join them and let the world know who made this year’s list!

Thank you Mark. The Top 100 banner looks great on my DYNASTY League Baseball blog!

Sad to see 2011 say “goodbye”, but excited for the treats and fun that 2012 should unfold for all of us. Was a true honor being in trhe top spot in Pre and Post-Season, and now I will just have to amp it up a bit during the regular season. This is such a great blogging community with Mark at the helm, and all of us producing and bringing magic out with our posts.
Thank you to all that spend a few moments reading my banter/ Great to see RSBS and Rockpile up in the fray again. Pitchers and Catcher report soon than we think, and then the real fun begins……. Thank you again and let’s all get started making 2012 the most viewed season EVER on MLBlogs.com!

Greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and for being such an important leader in the MLB.com blogging community! The Baseball Collector and your blog at http://raysrenegade.mlblogs.com were far out in front of the field, and your hard work at your blog is really to be commended and appreciated as a great example. Thanks for everything and here’s to an awesome 2012 with new tricks up our sleeves here at MLB Advanced Media…

Happy new year. Congrats to 100 that got in the top. I can’t wait till Spring Training

Brewers Today- http://brewerstoday.mlblogs.com/

Wow, #9! Thrilled to be on this list and in such great company. So many of these bloggers put out so much good stuff in 2011 and I am looking forward to reading more in 2012. Happy New Year, MLBloggers 🙂

Happy New Year to you as well, Emily – and congrats for the great blogging at http://sfdiamondgirl.mlblogs.com

#6! Wow! Thank you all sooooo much. It was not a good year for the Padres, but hopefully all these trades will help us out next year. Keep reading and GO PADRES!

Very impressive showing, Kaity — and as you noted, irrespective of W-L standings. Since you are an MLB.com Blogs veteran, care to share any secrets on how you have gotten the word out about your Unfinished Business blog at http://kaybee.mlblogs.com ? – Mark

Many thanks to my readers for keeping me at 64th in the fan blogs despite an incredibly low-content year.

I’ll be moving back up the list in 2012 thanks, in part, to the return of my season preview series “Brewers By the (Jersey) Numbers”.

Congrats to all the other blogs on the list as well!

Thanks for reading! And congratulations to everyone else on the list! Cheers to a great 2012 in the blogosphere! -John and Cait

John and Cait, it was a huge year for the Brewers and thanks to you guys for sharing it in such a cool way through your front office blog at http://brewers.mlblogs.com … and here’s to a huge 2012 for yours and all MLB.com/blogs – Mark

Congrats to you both and Adam McCalvy, and thanks for keeping us Brewers fans in the know!

Congratulations to everyone who made the list! With the mention of my Baseball Haiku blog in an article earlier this week, and the subsequent spike in traffic and recognition, I’m hoping to crack the list this year….

Keep spreading the word and please be sure to leave your full URL anywhere you comment as a habit. Now that we’ve added WordPress.com in 2011, keep your eye out for more cool MLB.com/blogs advancements coming in 2012!

Thanks for helping me land in the #51 spot. Congrats to everyone else on the list.
