Latest Leaders – October 2011

Latest Leaders logoIt was a truly memorable October, thanks to a thrilling Postseason ending in a seven-game World Series. We were excited by the addition of MLB Network analyst and 283-game winner Jim Kaat, sharing his insights in Kaat’s Korner. Keith Olbermann topped the PRO list on the strength of his 10/12 Terry Francona post, and Rays Renegade streaked to the top of the FANS category like a Dan Johnson homer.

Note: We’ve omitted the blogs using MLB themes that have no baseball content, and MLBloggers are reminded that they will only be tracked for Latest Leaders traffic if they are using an MLB theme.

I’m glad you do not publish the page views. Some of them might shock people. But as a courtesy, and to show my complete honesty, according to the “Stats” tab on my WordPress homepage, I had 33,912 page views in October. To put that into perspective, according to Mark, that was the 3rd highest page views in the entire community. I still have a million or two page views to catch Oberman (lol). Honest answer to get more page views, explore and comment among the blogs within the MLBlogs universe, this should get you more followers or subscribers and your numbers will begin to vault up quicker than you think. I have been lucky to have a nice stable posse’ of followers, they are my foundation.

Wow that’s a lot a views! I’m sitting at around 200. Your blog must get a lot of traffic.

Hey, Benny, keep up the great blogging — and one tip is to remember to go ahead and include your full URL when you comment as you have done right here. It’s a little more in-your-face than people knowing to click on your name.

We switched themes mid month in October – where would our 5,134 ranked in the Fans section had we stayed MLB them the entire month?

No, sorry – I only rank them monthly. We do not publicize page view numbers. Thanks!

Congrats Rays Renegade and Baseball Collector — my two favorites, good job guys!

Yay for being #4! Very much appreciate everyone who reads and comments and a hearty congratulations to everyone else on the list as well. Truly a fabulous blogging community we have 🙂

Congrats to everyone on the list. Hopefully a lot of bloggers will stay active during the winter months to help pass the long dark days without baseball.

Thanks to all who helped me get back into the Top 50 for the first time in 2011. Granted, it waqs probably more the World Series trip by my team than my pristine writing ability, but I welcome anyone who wants to visit my part of the baseball world! Congrats to all who made the list and all who strive to make it in the coming months!
World Series 41, Rangers Fan 1 (soon to get another new name)

Congratulations to everyone who made the top 50 this month and to everyone on their way toward that goal – most valuable bloggers, the lot of you! The prospect of blogging with all of you this off season makes the long days without baseball seem a lot less daunting.

Props to the Rays Renegade for taking the top spot back. Nice to see the Rant working it’s way back up one spot at a time. I’m curious to see what the off-season brings to the MLB Blogging table. Let’s see what you got….Go Broncos…”D”

You also remind me why I done with corporate news including MSNBC. You have a great blog and love your knowledge about baseball. Wish I was that good with the sports that I love like figure skating and tennis. Neverless gymnatics and the Olympic games.

diffentlly congratulations KO, you so derserve it. You have showed why I love to call you this generations Murrow. You have gotten better at Current. Keep it up. All you have to be is yourself and you will always have a fan and viewer in me, love you faults and all.

I’m thrilled to be on this list for the first time! Thanks to everyone who boosted my views (even with the Marlins out of it)!

Wow! Been almost 8 months since I have seen the mountain top view of this incredible blogging community. Always been a proud memeber of this frat/sorority of pasionate baseball fans.
Was an exiciting time of post season magic and unexpected twists and falls. But this community of wirters stood tall and strong. Proud to write here, proud to read all of your work. Now the hard work starts……Off season.
Hope everyone stays active, writes about their team’s 2011, their wishes for 2012, and maybe even a few off-the-cuff posts.
Mark ( Guru) told me I had the 3rd most page views this month. That calls for a standing round of applause to all of you who read my writes, chuckle at my inside jokes and comment on my posts. Keep active this offseason, it is the perfect time to stroll through the community and meet a few new blogging friends.

Congrats to everyone on the list, nice to see the Rays Rant continue to move up the rankings to #23. Thanks to everyone who checked out my blog this month.
The Rays Rant-

Congrats to everybody, and thanks to MLB for giving us so much great material to work with last month.
