Latest Leaders – November 2009

All the activity at MLBlogs shows there’s no such thing as an offseason in baseball. The Phillies’ Scott Eyre rode the carryover from his World Series appearance to lead all players, while Kevin Slowey‘s return to blogging saw him shoot up to second. once again ruled the Pro blogs, but the Hot Stove Blog is ablaze with news and rumors. Confessions of a She-Fan and Red State Blue State went 1-2 amongst fan blogs, while The Zo Zone claimed to spot over Bowman’s Blog in the Beat Writer category.

Thanks mark for making me number 22.

I am coming back to blogging.

“Congratulations” !!! …
To everybody on all the November 2009 MLBlogs Leaders Lists !!!
Best Wishes,
— Jimmy, “BY&L”

I didn’t make it! Not that I’m surprised I hadn’t touched my blog in months in till just recently.

I stand corrected I found at least 1. Sorry about that.

No Twins fans on the list, breaks my heart knowing that we got such a strong fan base and have so many things to vent on here about. Well looks like it’s up to me. Please stop buy and check out all that Twins Blog has to offer, including players (season) and legends of the month. Good Luck to everyone!!!

Mark – MLB, its teams and the fans do a lot to support our men and women in the Military. One of our own here on MLBlogs – shakenbake – a Red Sox fan, a career Air Force man is getting ready to retire after 26 years of service. You can find a dedication to Mike here:

I would encourage all of you to stop by and thank Mike for his service; let him know that his baseball family appreciated all he did for us and America’s Pasttime.

It’s not the number posts I believe, that determines your placement. I believe it’s the number of times your site is accessed. So someone who posts once a month but gets a ton of blog hits will rank higher than someone who posts 10 times a week but doesn’t get a lot of hits.

At least, that’s what it looks like to me.

After a much needed LOA, the Brewer Nation is very much back online in print and audio. Head over to our blog for the latest commentary from Big Rygg and a link to our latest podcast recorded Wednesday evening, December 2nd.

Congrats to everyone who made it on the latest leaders list. I’m definitely with Peter and xcicix. I try my best to blog at least five times (or more) a month, but I just don’t get why I am not seen on the list. Well, I must do what I can to keep bringing my readers back.

Oh yeah, love my pic in the collage, too!

Wow. For my first time on the list, 17th sure isn’t bad! Thanks for stopping by, even if the majority of you did so because a certain ballhawker told you to be mean to me.

I’m with Peter on this one. Some people work harder and post more than one or two posts a month and yet they show up farther down the list than people who don’t have active blogs….can/should there be a minimum post requirement? Like 5 or so? Not like 25 or anything, just something to show that at least these are actively written blogs.
And congrats to everyone who made it! I’m glad if I helped in some way by visiting and commenting on your blogs.

I’m not sure what’s cooler, making it to #13 or being featured in the latest leaders photo montage! Thanks for anyone who has stopped by to spend some time with me and Tim.

20 wow thanks

#4!!!! I’m so beyond thrilled that I cracked the Top 5. Wowie zowie. 😀

Hooray!! YH made it! Thanks to all of you for taking the time to stop by for my mindless take on such a meaningful and historic game.

Buz –

I love that you and Al are holding up my crown, Jeff. Just don’t hurt yourself in case it’s really heavy. 🙂

Thanks to all who venture over to “Confessions.” It’s great to know I’m not there all by myself! And great work by all the bloggers. It’s the variety that keeps this community thriving.

Thanks for keeping me on the list, despite the sporadic blogging. It really means a lot, guys. Seriously. And thanks, Mark, for putting my face in the Leaders collage. I feel special! 🙂

Congratultions to all that made it! I am happy to see so many of my blog friends there on the list! You all deserved to be there!
Congrats to first timers Ted and Buzz!
got to talk to my ITD friends. We can’t have Inside the Giant clubhouse ahead of ITD!
Thank you so much for everything you do for us!

Al and I proudly and firmly hold up Jane’s crown. Good times! This is when I need the baseball blogging community the most! Feels like the season is still going and I love every minute of it.

Also, see my most recent post on this community blog and be sure to leave your Custom Jersey story in the comments section at – and don’t forget to leave your blog URL there (minus the http) so people can find you. Many of the Latest Leaders here are on the list because they are masters at getting people to their blog — and leaving your URL in many places is the No. 1 easy way. Just comment on all of the Latest Leaders as the first step. – Mark

There are tens of thousands of active MLBlogs. Thanks – and congrats again to all the Latest Leaders! – Mark

I’d be interested in knowing how many total blogs there are in each category — fan blogs in particular, because that’s where falls, but the others too.

I realize that number changes daily, but #12 out of, say, 1,000 is a lot more impressive than #12 out of #50. 🙂

Thank you everyone for stopping by and reading my slightly insane ramblings ;o) #3 is my favorite number! Congrats to everyone for their hard work and dedication!

Congrats to all who made the list again….
I am still confused how some blogs that are clearly inactive make this list months and months after a post….
