Latest Leaders – July 2009

Latest Leaders in the MLBlogs Network by pageview, for the month of July 2009.

How did MLBloggers stack up in readership last month? Reed Johnson beat out Rick Ankiel amongst the players, while Trade Talk drew plenty of sets of eyes thanks to the Trade Deadline.

Confessions of a She-Fan continues to lead the Fan blogs, with Red State Blue State right behind, and The 1 Constant making a strong showing as well.

In the Beat Writer category, Bowman’s Blog has developed a very lively community of Braves fans commenting on it.

I know this is the last day of August, but …
Thanks to all who have visited by mlblog !!! … It is great to be ranked #18 on the July “Fan” Leader’s List !!!
And, “Congratulatons” to all mlblogs, on all the above Leader’s Lists !!!
Continuing my tradition of dedicating my ranking number … I dedicate my #18 ranking in honor of the New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox rivalry [the greatest rivalry in baseball and all sports], and the 18 games [15 so far with three games remaining], that both teams play against each other in the 2009 season !!! … All these games always have a playoff atmosphere about them, and really are “A Season Within A Season” each new baseball year !!!
Take care, everybody !!!
Have a great day, and enjoy the rest of the pennant races this season !!!
— Jimmy 27NYY Curran, “BY&L”

I think it’s kind of dumb that only the top 10 get their links up thats not how it used to be.

I think it’s kind of dumb that only the top 10 get their links up thats not how it used to be.

Our lack of updating gives us a deserving spot at #23. The ‘Burgh Blues will never surrender, no matter how many (or how long) losing streaks the Pirates are on.
PS – NEW INTERVIEW coming soon. This one is totally sweet.

Thanks, everyone!

Jane at No.1 and Julia at No 4! You go girls!!! Congratulations to you both. Bee

Phillies Journal 2009 – a limerick a day as long as they play-

over 100 entries but only 10 comments – what am i doing wrong?

Cliff Lee to himself wrote a note:
“Come to Philly and help float their boat.”
In two starts he’s made us feel giddy,
hurrah’s all over the city,
but Ruben says, “Too soon to gloat.”
Thursday, August 6, 2009. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia – 3, Colorado – 1.
WP – Lee (2-0), LP – Cook (10-4).
H- Madson (17). S – Lidge (21).
HR – Bako (1), 5th.

wow.. can’t believe I made the list… thanks to all who visited.. congrats to all who made the list… lots of familiar names there cool….
Outside the Phillies Looking In

Matt, I echo your sentiments. How can “Blogging Dodgers and Baseball” be #10 when they haven’t made an update in close to 7 months? How is that fair to the people who update every day or every other day?

How is this list even compiled, if I may ask?

#34…..a little disappointing seeing as I fell back 8 spots. Let’s get Yankees Chick into the Top 20 for August! Thanks to everyone who has come by…..don’t be a stranger.

#10 hasn’t blogged since January? WTF?

Oh man, I would love to be on this list someday

How are these things figured out? I think I write a pretty good blog but am confused as to how I can get my name up there because I do feel it’s pretty good. Any advice anyone???

I can’t believe my blog is not listed

Heirloom, thanks for the shout out! Wow! The check is in the mail! 😉 Seriously, thank you.

If I may, I’d love to return the compliment by saying that if you want to read the most cogent and beautifully written blog analyzing baseball, check out THE HEIRLOOM. Seriously. It flows like poetry. Always a fun read.

Thanks for keeping me in this list, even though my blogging and commenting has been sporadic (to say the least). I’ll be back on it soon! 🙂 Thanks, Mark, for doing this list for us!

Happy’s the name…
ballhawking is my game.

#5 in the latest leaders…
I’m honored to have so many readers.

Thanks everyone!

Rockpile Rant slipped a bit but is still manages to stay in the top ten. Thanks to all who visit regularily. Two Rockies blogs in the top ten. That’s what I’m talking about.

Congrats to everyone. Looking to break back into that top-50 sometime soon!!!

Great bloggin everyone. Congratuations are in order. I enjoy all of your work. So much good stuff to read on here now!

I have to give it up for my pal, “More Cowbell.” I am excited to see he has scaled into the Top 20 here. He’s got great insights on the Rays and the rest of the game – with plenty of guffaws to go along with it!
Mark, we bow to your hard work in keeping us alive and in line!
The Heirloom’s still plugging along. I’ve got some exciting stuff in the pipeline coming the next few months, including two more games to attend.
Thanks for a great season so far! Keep it up, fellow MLBloggers!

It is always an adventure when these come out.
Thank you to the people who still come by and check out my little rambles of the Rays Republic.
And to those of you who have not……… are always invited.
13 is a special number to me. It was my number in baseball and football before college. Then I had to wear a mirror image or 31 from college to the Pros.
But 13 has always brought me luck. Being 13th to me is just like the world is right for me right now.
Thanks you readers again for thinking of my little muses.
And to Mark our faithful Professor, always a pleasure to see something written by you

Rays Renegade

It really does suck not to be on the list again. But, I guess the lack of Braves moves and being really busy as of late didn’t help my chances. But, i’m not going to get upset over it. Congratulations to everyone that made it, including “Braves All The Way” for beating me out to become the #1 Braves fan “Fan” blogger.

Other news, August is most likely my last month on here, maybe part of September, due to be going back to college, which will leave me with less time to do anything for my blog.

Again, congrats to everyone.

Good job everyone! Really GREAT blogging on this site!
Thanks also for making me #8 :O) Have a great day!!

Congrats to everyone who made it on top 50! Last time I was on there was back in February. But numbers and ranks doesn’t matter to me. I’m just glad I am part of this wonderful community.

My first month back I guess I probably wasn’t going to make it. But as long as you have the SNY blogs on here will always be number 1.

Wow. I’m really speechless. Congrats to all who made this top 40. I see many familiar names on the list, so I must be going to the right places! You all have just helped me love the game even more.

Thank you to Mark for compiling the list–must not be too easy!

I haven’t been doing this long, but I love it. I appreciate all who have stopped by from time to time. It means alot.

Congrats to everyone who made the list. Thank to everyone who stopped by to check out my blog. And Congrats to Jane, Jeff and Allen for being in the 1 and 2 spots! Great job!!

Congratulations to everybody on the list, no matter where they rank. Just putting in the time to blog on a regular basis is the real feat. To Jeff and Allen of “Red State Blue State:” I’m proud to have you knocking on my door!

Is there any specific reason that the ProBlogs rankings cut off at 40 instead of 50 this time around? I was hoping to see if the LumberBlog improved again.

Can we see the Top 50?

Yay for #19!! Thank you all soooo much for supporting my blog, you are amazing!! GO PADRES!!

Proud to be at number 2. It’s tough living in Jane “She-Fan” Heller’s shadow…. but we humbly enjoy every minute of it. Congrats all!

YAYYYY! I’m so happy that I’m number 21.

Congratulations to everyone! Everyone is a winner.
I am so honored that I made #28. I was born on a 28.
Thank you everyone that visits my blog and please do correct me when I write something wrong as English is my second language and it is my weak link. I do it for the love of my Dodgers and the game

Congrats to everyone on the list. I’m not nearly as high as when I was doing Hardball but I’m sure I’ll make my way back up there.

Thanks Mark once again for doing this! Congrats to all!
