Latest Leaders – June 2009

480-latestleaders2009-06.jpgLatest Leaders in the MLBlogs Network by pageview, for the month of June 2009.

As previously announced, we’re trying something new with Latest Leaders. Notably, we’re going to do this as a monthly breakdown.

For June, Reed Johnson and Torii Hunter continued to attract many readers, though newcomer Rick Ankiel ended up right up there with them among the top player blogs. The top of the PRO BLOGS looks very New York-centric, including television personalities Kimberly Jones and Keith Olbermann, while Jane Heller’s Confessions of a She-Fan beat out Red State Blue State and The Happy Youngster to claim top honors among the fans. For the beat writers, Mark Bowman’s Braves blog has bragging rights this month.

Way to go MLBloggers!!

Baseballs 4 MADD – MLBallhawk

My dedication blog is up to a great Boston Sports Legend who wore #4 – in the tradition begun by Jimmy Curran of the blog Baseball, The Yankees and Life.

And can I rant a little here – Ladies and Gentlemen – the Red Caps being worn this weekend in baseball are to honor our returning Vets and their families. Seeing your favorite team wear a different hat this weekend seems like a small price compared to the sacrifices that our men and women in the armed forces make for us every single day. I blogged about this after Memorial Day and last week – maybe everyone needs to take a step back and understand what the hats represent. You do a disservice to our military bloggers here when you complain about such a petty thing. God Bless our Men and Women in Uniform and Thank You. It was an honor to see my team wearing the hats this weekend.

Stop by my blog to read about how FOX Sports on the 4th of July, insulted not only the USA, but both Lou Gehrig and Jamie Moyer all in one shot…

Not to mention thousands of baseball fans around the world…sad.

wow – that’s pretty cool. #41 just like Chris Jakubauskas! Thanks, folks.

Congrats to everyone who made the list
I hope to join you there soon

Congrats to everyone on the latest leaders board and thanks for helping to keep me at #13!! I’m excited to be here and excited to be blogging about the Rockies!!

Thanks for posting this list!!

#25! I was 26 the last time so I’m steadily moving up. Thanks to all those who have found my site from my comments here, I hope you continue reading and leaving comments under my posts. I also noticed that I was one of the related blogs underneath this original post, so thanks for that as well.

Congrats to everyone on a job well done.
A personal thanks to those that have been following along with me.

Looks like the top 5 have been bouncing around a bit. The Rockpile Rant holds on to the # 6 spot for another month. Thanks for sticking with me through my mountain move and loss of internet. Rant readers have class and if you don’t think the Rockies have a chance this season then you haven’t been reading my blog.
I’ll be finished with all of my time consuming house issues by Monday and she’s back to normal baby. I’ve made my mark on # 6 and it’s time to shoot higher. Pack your lunch and bring it on, it’s time for a shake-up in the leaders list and I’m spearheading it.
A few more comments from me daily and I might really start to use the “Glitter that is twitter”. I don’t use Twitter very often, so look out as I get technically savy…Congrats to all the old and new blogs that made the list…It’s a good feeling when you know you’re read…D

Thanks everyone, and congratulations to everyone that made it, and to you, even if you didn’t make it. If you work hard enough you can make the list. I started this at the end of May, and I am #24, so that proves anything is possible.

Congrats to all who made the list, I think its good that something like this actually gets a top 50 list, it just goes to show people actually do read the stuff you write. Hopefully at some point I may even myself make the list, who knows anythings possible right?

Outside Looking In

Help me regain my previous success at Hardball on my new one Moneyball! Congrats to the current leaders though.

Cool, #21!! Thanks so much for reading, guys!! GO PADRES AND BEAT LA!!!

Very nice to see the new Mlblogs Leader’s Lists posted on the 4th of July weekend !!!
My mlblog “BY&L” ranked #29 on the latest Fans Leader’s List; and, I am honored to be a part of this truly great mlblogging community here at !!!
As per my tradition of dedicating my ranking number in honor of a special player, or another special meaning the number may have to me — I dedicate my latest ranking number in honor of the great Hall of Fame pitcher, Jim “Catfish” Hunter, who wore #29 while he pitched for the New York Yankees from 1975-1979 [note: Catfish wore #27 when he pitched for the K.C. and Oakland A’s during the years 1965-1974] … Catfish Hunter was one of the greatest pitchers ever, who died way too young, at the age of 53, in 1999, after a long battle with ALS disease [Lou Gehrig’s Disease].
Congratulations to all blogs on all the Leader’s Lists !!!
And, special thanks to Mark and all at mlblogs for their outstanding work that helps make this such a great blogging community !!!
Everybody, have a great Holiday weekend !!!
— Jimmy 27NYY Curran, “BY&L”

Ok, I’m not in the top-50 clique yet. Here’s hoping! 🙂

I do want to say congrats to all who earned a spot. I have read just about everybody’s at one point or another–good stuff. I’ll keep working my way though.

I’m catching up as I have been blogging for about a week. I’m having a great time, though. This stuff is downright addictive!

Just like baseball…

Thanks to everyone for stopping by! Just happy to be a part of it :O)

I’m still surprised The LumberBlog cracks the Top 50 in ProBlogs, but I appreciate everyone who is reading. From #48 to #46, I’ll be happy with that!

Wow I fell a bit! But thanks everyone for actually keeping me on the list, despite my sporadic blogging and name change. 🙂 And thanks, Mark, for getting this up for us.

Thanks Mark and thanks to everyone who reads my blog! Look for a dedication blog to go up later today!

Wow. I just found out about this from Rays Renegade on – guess where, Mark – Twitter! Thanks for nudging me over there. And thanks to all for reading.
(SheFanJane on Twitter)

As always, we’re honored to be on this list. Keep up the great work, folks!
–Jeff & Allen

Congrats to everybody on the LL’s! How far ahead is MetsBlog of the others?

You can check out my blog even though it isn’t an MLBlog!

Thanks for everyone checking out the old Renegade during the month of June.
It was a rough month with squirrels and unexpected computer problems, but still got within the top 20 again.
Hope the problems are in the past and we can again see daily pops off the top of my little brain.
Thank you Mark for getting this out before the holiday weekend, and I wish all the MLBlogs family a safe and glorious Fourth of July weekend.
May we all have our teams RED caps.
